More and more, rapeseed oil is used as a biodiesel, within heated fuel systems, or as an addition with petroleum distillates. Especially in Europe rapeseed oil is extremely popular in diesel fuels. One reason is its low gel point. Another one the lower cost of growing and refining rapeseed compared to for instance soybean seeds.
